Is Batista Returning to WWE a Good Thing Or a Bad Thing?

Friday night the internet world was buzzing when unlvtickets.com was advertising Dave Batista to return to the promotion at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday, February 16, 2014. He has not appeared for WWE since 2010.

Batista has been rumored to return to the promotion for some time now, and it looks like he could be returning for one more run. Now 44 years old, he has done it all in the land of WWE including main evented WrestleManias, won multiple championships and learned from the best (Triple H and Ric Flair).

What does this mean for the WWE? Well, the first thing that popped into my head is maybe a surprise in the Royal Rumble match or even just a spot at WrestleMania. Either way it would be a fun surprise for the WWE “Universe” if the “Animal” will be returning.

Dave (Batista) can talk on the microphone and work in the ring; the size and the image is what sets him alone from the rest. I have been a fan of heel Dave which I could see him returning as and personally hope so.

As for the superstars he could feud with, John Cena, CM Punk, Daniel Bryan come to mind, but what about Brock Lesnar? Two MMA and WWE superstars going at it on the grandest stage of them all would probably not be a great match and a possible repeat of Lesnar vs. Goldberg at WrestleMania 20, but hey, it would be a heck of a buildup.

Either you love him or hate him, but Batista brings something WWE is dying for: Star power.
