WWE Misused Kaitlyn During Her Time In the Company

Kaitlyn was released from the WWE earlier this week because she was unhappy with the way she was being used.

Kaitlyn started in the WWE in a strong way as she was the winner of NXT Season 3. It wasn’t before long that she was put in a feud with Eve Torres where she fought and claimed the Divas Championship. Torres lost the belt last year and then left the company. Torres joined Beth Phoenix and Kelly Kelly as a string of other Divas that left the WWE.

Even though Kaitlyn was the Divas Champion, she was not booked to participate in a match at WrestleMania 29. Many people thought that she would end up defending the title against AJ Lee, but that didn’t happen until two months later at the Payback PPV.

AJ vs. Kaitlyn at Payback was one of the best Divas matches I had seen in a long time. It was one of the few Divas matches that was allocated a decent amount of time, and it also had some exciting false finishes. In the end, it was AJ that won the Divas title that night, making Kaitlyn submit to the “Black Widow.”

After Kaitlyn lost the title, it appeared WWE didn’t want to focus on the Divas title anymore. This happened because they were promoting the Total Divas show instead. If you were a Diva and you were not on the show, WWE didn’t allocate much TV time for you.

Kaitlyn initially wanted to leave WWE months before, but stuck around because she was promised to be put into better storylines. As time went by though, the focus was never put on her.

WWE agreed to let her leave the company now and her last match was with AJ. Kaitlyn now joins a number of other Divas that have left the company in the past two years or so. This should tell WWE that they should put more effort into the Divas division. Right now, they’re just treating the non Total Divas like thin air.
