New Age Outlaws Turning On CM Punk Is Good For Business

Once again, Raw featured another good six-man tag team match, but this time with a different twist. The New Age Outlaws turned their back on CM Punk, and I believe it is due to the Authority.

It should be noted they will be on this week’s edition of Smackdown to take on the tag team champions Goldust and Cody Rhodes. Will CM Punk get his revenge on former tag team champions? Most likely yes. It would only make sense for him to get his revenge on the New Age Outlaws for betraying him. CM Punk was looking for them on Raw and was even playing into the that the Authority told them to leave Punk. They did not look happy, and there is more to this story.

If you watch the show, then you will realize that CM Punk has been going off on the microphone about Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. Are they building towards CM Punk taking out the Authority? Time will tell.

The New Age Outlaws are superstars that come in for a match or two a year. It makes sense that they turned on Punk if the Authority told them to. They will be back on TV in a few months, and all will be forgotten. Billy Gunn and Road Dog has past ties with Triple H as a part of Degeneration X. The WWE should think about the big picture of where this storyline could go.

The idea that the NAO walked out on CM Punk because they’re back due to The Authority makes perfect sense…IF it’s used to set something up for CM Punk vs. Triple H or Randy Orton. The NAO and Triple H aren’t full-time wrestlers now but they can still be useful if it makes a full-timer the center of something, especially if the fans have to pay to see it.
