WWE has announced 20 of the 30 men entering in the 2014 Royal Rumble, and a number of the wrestlers who have been named aren’t what you call huge stars.

Here are the 20 names confirmed for the Royal Rumble so far: Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, Damien Sandow, Erick Rowan, Luke Harper, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, Bad News Barrett, Fandango, CM Punk, Rey Mysterio, Batista, Alberto Del Rio, Kofi Kingston, The Miz, Big E Langston, Xavier Woods, R-Truth, Cody Rhodes and Goldust.

Out of the 20 wrestlers already confirmed, only Batista, Punk and possibly Mysterio I would call big names. The rest are just mid-card players at best. Del Rio could be considered to be a huge name, but he’s become very boring lately. Although I would like to see Reigns, Langston and Rhodes make a huge impact in the match, I would love to see someone new winning the Royal Rumble this year.

Still, it appears all of the other huge names in the WWE are occupied with other things. Kane is usually a favorite in the Royal Rumble, but it looks like he’s sitting this one out this year. Brock Lesnar is occupied with a match against Big Show, and Daniel Bryan has match with Bray Wyatt. It’s possible Bryan could be added later, but his entry to the Royal Rumble is not official at this point in time.

Hopefully some other big names and surprises fill out the rest. I know Sheamus will be back from injury, although I won’t really count him as a “huge” name. Rob Van Dam could be back too as he made a surprise entry back in 2009 as well. I know it’s a long shot, but adding Undertaker and Sting to the Royal Rumble match would be awesome too. Still, as of right now, the Royal Rumble match itself looks pretty ordinary this year.

Watch Ambrose Get Destroyed By Lesnar At WrestleMania 32

Dean Ambrose gave it everything he had on Sunday night, but it wasn't enough as he fell victim to an F-5 at the hands of Brock Lesnar to lose a street fight at WrestleMania 32. Ambrose went in as the underdog against the beast that is Lesnar, and he just didn't have enough in the end to emerge victorious.
