Is Christian Retiring This Week On Smackdown?

Christian will be making his return back to the WWE on this week’s edition of Friday night Smackdown. He has been out since September meaning it’s been a long time since we’ve seen “Captain Charisma” on WWE television. Rumors have been going around for the past couple of years that he will be retiring in the near future, but it should be noted that he is only 40-years-old.

The last time we saw Christian he was fighting for the world heavyweight title against Alberto Del Rio at Summerslam. He lost that match and has been off WWE programming since. He has been tweeting that this Friday he makes his return but adds the hash tag #onemorematch along with it. Him saying that makes me believe this might be it for the former world heavyweight champion.

If this is it for “Captain Charisma” then it was a great ride, but if not then let’s get him something going creative wise. Christian can have a good match with anyone, and with WrestleMania season in full swing there is no better time for him to be back on WWE TV. Someone with so much experience who has had many accomplishments in the wrestling world should be getting a nice push once he is back on TV on regular basis.

As of this writing, I have no idea if this is Christian’s last match or not. As a fan I hope it’s not. If this is it then he had a good career, and he was spot on each time he stepped into the square circle. It’s a wait and see game from now until Friday. Most likely he will be back on WWE TV for the time being, and I really can’t see him retiring on Smackdown of all shows to do it on.

Let me know, do you think he will be retiring? or is he back on full-time bases.
