Should WWE Sign Sting Now Or After WrestleMania XXX?

Sting In TNA

Sting reportedly wants to join WWE right now, but the company wants to wait until after WrestleMania XXX.

After Sting left TNA, he has been in talks to finally join the WWE after many years avoiding Vince McMahon. With TNA now in a financial struggle, the man has finally given serious thought on joining McMahon for the very first time.

Sting apparently wants to join the company ASAP to build up to a match with Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX. Sting lives close to Undertaker so the two can work out a match by themselves easily. WWE is adamant on this, however, and wants him to debut the Raw after WrestleMania XXX instead.

Goldberg had a similar schedule when he joined WWE back in 2003. He explosively debuted on Raw after WrestleMania XIX by beating up the Rock. He then wrestled for one year concluding his run at WrestleMania XX against Brock Lesnar.

I understand both sides on this situation. As much as I would love to see Sting vs. Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX, it would seem it bit rushed if it happened this year. It would be better if Sting debuted after WrestleMania XXX and then built to an Undertaker match at WrestleMania 31 instead. They could do that, or face off at SummerSlam which might be better with the match being more unpredictable since Undertaker’s winning streak is not on the line.

Either way, I’m really hoping Sting joins WWE as he’s got nothing left to prove in TNA. TNA is now pushing its young talents and I don’t think Sting belongs there anymore.
