Will The Rock Be In The WWE Hall of Fame Next Year?

The Rock is the leading candidate to be inducted into the 2015 WWE Hall of Fame.

It’s funny how WWE is plannning next year’s event when it’s more than a year away. It’s possible that they are planning it very early because the Rock might be busy with a movie schedule. Since he won’t appear on WWE television this year, the company is trying really hard to bring him back in some capacity.

The Rock has let it be known that he could be free next year to possibly face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 31. These two were actually scheduled to face this year at WrestleMania XXX, but the Rock pulled out because he got injured. Now, his schedule is booked up and he has no time to wrestle part-time at all in 2014.

Normally, WWE inducts people in the Hall of Fame when they have officially retired. If the Rock is inducted next year, does this mean his wrestling days are gone for good? Many people wonder why the Undertaker has never been inducted to the Hall of Fame, yet someone like the Edge is already in there, but this is because the Edge is officially retired due to his neck injury, while the Undertaker hasn’t retired just yet.

The Rock has become a bigger Hollywood star than anyone could have anticipated, so it’s likely that he might “retire” from professional wrestling once again. The more movie roles he gets, the less likely he’ll be able to wrestle part-time in between. I’m actually surprised that he had the energy to wrestle John Cena in 2012 and 2013.

I don’t think the Rock will be inducted just yet, as I feel he may want to wrestle a little longer. Not to mention he has to fit it into his heavy schedule, and he might not even have enough free time to be able to get inducted next year. Then again, the Rock could get inducted next year and still choose to wrestle anyway.

It’s without question that he will get inducted into the Hall of Fame some day.
