WWE Elimination Chamber 2014 Predictions

The last PPV stop before Wrestlemania 30 is upon us. WWE Elimination Chamber will take place on Sunday night from Minneapolis, and once the event is in the books, we'll all have a much clearer picture of what the WM 30 card will look like. But before we can get there, we'll need to take a look at the EC card. This slideshow will feature predictions for every match, as well as a few bonus/side predictions.

Many wondered how the EC would be structured this year with the reduction to just one world heavyweight title. The easiest and most obvious way to book the EC PPV was to make the chamber match for the WWE title. The six-man match now will become it's own mini Royal Rumble event, with the winner moving on to the main event of WM 30.

As of now, we know that Batista will be in the main event of WM 30. He won the Rumble and it doesn't appear that WWE is concerned with the reaction he got in Pittsburgh last month. In case you missed it, Batista got booed out of the building after it became clear he was going to win the Rumble match. The people wanted to see Daniel Bryan, and WWE didn't deliver. The following day CM Punk left the company and ever since, lots of uncertainty has surrounded the company's plans for WM.

The big question remaining? Will this year's 'Mania title match be one-on-one or triple threat? Many like myself are leaning towards the bout being triple threat, but with WWE's booking these days, who knows?

So without further ado, here are predictions for every EC match:

Rhodes Brothers vs. Ryback & Curtis Axel

Great pre-show match here between real-life brothers and a couple of declining stars. Goldust is swearing up and down that he will not wrestle Cody at 'Mania, but you can never believe a pro wrestler. I think that match will happen and the setup will begin with a Rybaxel victory.

Winners: Ryback & Curtis Axel

Batista vs. Alberto Del Rio

There's absolutely no way that Batista loses this match. WWE wants to make him look as strong as possible heading into 'Mania, so I expect the Animal to easily go over in this one. Will the Minneapolis crowd turn on Batista like the Pittsburgh crowd did? That will be more interesting to follow than the match itself.

Winner: Batista

Titus O'Neil vs. Darren Young

Good storylines leading into this match, as O'Neil recently turned heel on his former tag partner, Young. I expect Titus to go over as he continues his rise to the top.

Winner: Titus O'Neil

New Age Outlaws vs. Usos (Tag Team Titles)

It seems like WWE is grooming the Usos to become tag champs at some point. I just don't think it will happen at EC. The Outlaws will win dirty and keep the Usos chasing the titles.

Winners: New Age Outlaws

Big E vs. Jack Swagger (Intercontinental Championship)

Big E vs. Jack Swagger (Intercontinental Championship)

Just like the Batista/Del Rio bout, there's no way Big E loses this match. He's in the midst of a push and therefore putting the IC title on Swagger would make absolutely no sense.

Winner: Big E

The Shield vs. The Wyatt Family

Wrestling fans are in for a treat with this six-man tag match. There's no question that it will be awesome, it's just a question of how awesome the match will be. We could get lucky if WWE decides to make this into a chamber or no DQ match. But when it's all said and done, the Wyatts will stand victorious. Why? Because the Shield is about the break up.

Winners: The Wyatt Family

Elimination Chamber Match for WWE World Heavyweight Championship

There are only three realistic winners in this match: Cena, Bryan and Orton. Of those three, Cena is a big time long shot, but you can never rule him completely out. I think Orton comes out on top, more than likely thanks to help from The Authority.

Winner: Randy Orton

Show Stealer - Shield vs. Wyatts

There's no doubt about it, this six-man tag will steal the show. It doesn't matter if the match is no DQ or in a chamber -- these guys will tear the house down.

Extra Prediction - Brock Lesnar Will Make An Appearance

USA Today Sports

Given that the event is taking place in his hometown and that he needs to start building towards his 'Mania match, Lesnar will make an appearance of some sort. It could be as simple as him stopping a match with multiple brutal chair shots again, or he could come out with Paul Heyman as part of a promo.

Extra Prediction - Daniel Bryan Will Get Screwed Out of the Title

To leave the door open for a triple threat 'Mania title match, Bryan will need to get screwed over at EC. I don't see the value in him winning the title before WM 30, so I fully expect Bryan to lose dirty in the chamber.
