The best match of the Elimination Chamber PPV was the instant classic between the Shield and Wyatt Family.
Even though both teams are heels, the fans cheered on both of them and were excited throughout the entire match. It was probably one of the best three-on-three tag teams matches in WWE history. Not to mention, the match didn’t involve any weapons, but was still excellent and had a lot of action.
The people that stood out the most from the match to me were Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and Luke Harper. All three of these men were very impressive and performed spots I had never seen before. The others in the match were good too. I didn’t mind that Bray Wyatt got the winning fall over Reigns in the end, but I am disappointed this is probably the only match these two teams will ever have. I had hoped they would feud against each other for the rest of the year. I’m sure all six men would tear the house down if they had the chance to face each other in rematches.
Sadly though, the Wyatts are going to feud with John Cena at WrestleMania XXX while the Shield might break up very soon. It’s rumored that their WrestleMania match will be against each other in a triple threat.
In either case, this match is a very early contender for the best match of 2014. I’m glad they faced each other at Elimination Chamber instead of WrestleMania XXX. If they faced off at WrestleMania, their match wouldn’t have been so long. Their Elimination Chamber encounter went on for over 22 glorious minutes, much longer than your average tag team match.
