Paul Bearer To Be Inducted Into WWE Hall of Fame

The WWE has announced that the late Paul Bearer will be inducted into this year’s Hall of Fame.

Bearer (real name William Moody) sadly died last March due to a blood clot. The WWE actually announced that he would be inducted into the 2014 Hall of Fame last year. It seems that the WWE forgot about this and made a proper official announcement closer to the actual event. Nevertheless, it’s great that Bearer will be inducted.

I’m sure that the WWE wanted to induct Bearer the same year that the Undertaker was to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. That would have been an awesome sight to see. Sadly, his untimely death changed things as Bearer will be going into the Hall of Fame this year instead. He will join the Ultimate Warrior, Lita and Jake “The Snake” Roberts.

If someone were to be chosen to induct Bearer into the Hall of Fame, nobody other than Undertaker should do it. Bearer managed Undertaker throughout his early years in the WWE and was a major part of the Undertaker’s whole gimmick. The two became great friends in real life too, and I’m sure Undertaker was saddened to hear about his death last year. Kane is another man that could induct Bearer, but Undertaker is the No. 1 choice.

The Undertaker has never publicly shown his face during the WWE’s Hall of Fame ceremonies. He’s normally backstage because the WWE wants him to keep his “deadman” persona. Now should be the best time for Undertaker to break character and tell the world how he truly felt about Bearer. I will be disappointed if Undertaker isn’t involved in Bearer’s Hall of Fame induction at all and is just hanging backstage again.
