It was a newsworthy edition of Monday Night Raw from Memphis, Ten., as three new matches were made official for WrestleMania XXX. So far, five matches are set for the biggest show of the year on Apr. 6, and it appears that the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match will be changed.

In the most interesting segment on Raw, Daniel Bryan hijacked the ring with a whole bunch of planted Bryan fans and threatened to shut down the show until they got what they wanted. Triple H was finally forced to accept a match with Bryan at WrestleMania, but it turns out that’s not the only thing Bryan wanted. Should he defeat Triple H, he will to be added to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match.

Randy Orton was initially slated to defend his title against Dave Batista in the main event of WrestleMania XXX. Orton certainly hasn’t been tearing down any houses as champion and the fans strongly turned on Batista after his return. The match was a nightmare waiting to happen.

The chances of Triple H going over Bryan are slim to none. The stips were added as a way to give the fans what they’ve been clamoring for, and it wouldn’t make sense for Bryan not to find his way into the title match. While it won’t be official until Bryan defeats the Game, the main event at WrestleMania will likely be a a triple-threat match between Orton, Batista and Bryan for the belt.

Another match made official for the show pits John Cena against the leader of the Wyatt Family, Bray Wyatt. Wyatt has been targeting Cena for weeks, hoping for a chance to knock off the WWE’s top dog and assert his dominance over the sport. Will we see a huge win for Wyatt, or will Cena overcome the odds and derail the Wyatt Family’s momentum? Hopefully fans are treated to the former, but I have my doubts …

The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar has been official for WrestleMania XXX for two weeks, and the build towards this epic clash rolled along nicely on Raw.

And then there’s Hulk Hogan‘s major announcement: the Andre the Giant memorial 30-man over-the-top-rope battle royal! The winner will receive a trophy with Andre’s likeness on top. This is a good way to tie the past and present together on the 30th WrestleMania, as well as a means to get a whole bunch of guys on the card who otherwise would have been denied a healthy paycheck.

Trophys in wrestling are almost always great, and it adds extra meaning to the contest. We were told on Raw that both Big E Langston and Ryback will participate in the battle royal.

It seems as though WrestleMania has changed for the better, especially as it relates to the world title scenario. The WWE recognized that they needed to save the main event, and adding Bryan to the mix (and likely setting him up for a huge victory) is the right thing to do. That being said, there are no guarantees in wrestling.
