Is The Shield Slowing Turning Babyface?

It appears that the WWE will not be breaking up the Shield and the faction will stay intact as babyfaces now.

People expected the Shield to break up. leading to a triple-threat match at WrestleMania XXX. The seeds were planted as Dean Ambrose became jealous of Roman Reigns. Seth Rollins teased a break up as he was sick of being the “glue” that stuck them together. Now, it seems as if they are not breaking up yet.

The WWE is hesitant to book more than one triple-threat match for WrestleMania XXX. It looks highly likely the main event will be a triple-threat, leaving the Shield’s breakup match to be postponed. Randy Orton vs. Batista will now involve Daniel Bryan mainly because Batista was getting booed out of the building everywhere he went.

It looks like the Shield will begin a feud with Kane, as hinted by this week’s Smackdown taping. Not to mention after the show was over, the Shield started to have fun with the crowd and began mocking the Wyatt Family.

If The Shield are indeed turning babyface, I applaud that idea. All three men are heavily liked by fans and they always put on decent matches. It would have been a shame to see them break up as they are arguably the best faction in the WWE right now. Even the Wyatt Family are not as entertaining to watch as the Shield.

I agree, I think they were definitely headed towards a triple-threat before they decided to pull the plug on Batista and Orton. No way they do two triple-threats on one show, probably gonna be a 6-man involving Kane and maybe Rowan and Harper. It’s probably for the best they don’t rush the breakup anyway, save it for down the road and see how the team develops as babyfaces.
