Daniel Bryan and Brock Lesnar weren’t the only wrestlers whose stock skyrocketed after WrestleMania XXX.

Enter Cesaro. The Swiss strongman competed in a four-way tag team elimination match on the WrestleMania XXX pre-show alongside his Real Americans cohort Jack Swagger. After the Usos retained their titles by double-splashing Cesaro off the top rope, Swagger and his partner started to argue. After weeks of building to the spot, Cesaro finally grabbed Swagger by the legs and swung him to his heart’s content. The crowd loved it.

But that wasn’t the end of the story. Cesaro completed his star-making turn as a “surprise” entrant in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, winning the contest by last eliminating the Big Show. Only he didn’t just eliminate the World’s Largest Athlete; he picked up the giant with ease and tossed him over the top rope!

To say the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans exploded would be an understatement. It was an amazing way to end the match and a great way to show the world exactly what Cesaro can do.

More importantly, is the man from Lucerne, Switzerland finally on his own? The answer appears to be yes.

Cesaro has really gotten himself over in 2014, and it’s high time he got a legitimate singles push. The time was ripe for a Real Americans break-up, and there was no better time to pull the trigger than at the Show of Shows. Similarly, with all the increased eyeballs that will be watching tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw, it would behoove WWE to follow up on this angle.

The rest of 2014 and beyond is going to be an exciting time for the Very European Superstar. When you look at his amazing athletic gifts and the support he gets from the fans, it’s hard not to be optimistic about his future.
