A Week of Dual Tragedies for Daniel Bryan

In one week Daniel Bryan won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and married his beautiful bride. It was the type of dream-fulfilling weeks very few people get to accomplish. Tragically, the highs were met with equal lows.

On the day that Bryan was supposed to come back to the WWE from his honeymoon we all found out that his father passed away. The beating that he took from Kane on Raw was a way to write him off of television for the time being. Those terrible McMahons that everyone complains about allowed Bryan to go home to his family.

Bryan has been quiet but his wife, Brie Bella spoke for him earlier in the week.

“I want to thank everyone for all their love and support through this difficult time. You have no idea how much it means to us,” Brie said in an interview with NoDQ.com. “Heaven gained two beautiful angels this week, Buddy and Connor. They will forever touch our hearts. It’s hard to find a rainbow in the midst of a storm but when you do you realize it’s all going to be ok.”

The other person Brie mentioned in that interview was Connor Michalek. Michalek was a Make-A-Wish kid who was a fan of the American Dragon. Six-year-old Michalek, who the champ dubbed Stone Crusher, passed away from cancer in his brain and spine.

Bryan first paid a visit to the child during his Tag Team Championship run with Kane when they called themselves Team Hell No. He passed away at around the same time Bryan’s father did.

It’s being said that Bryan has been given time to mentally recuperate and stay off television until Extreme Rules but he hinted to a return on Raw this Monday.
