CM Punk‘s ex-girlfriend, Natalie Slater wrote an interesting post about the man claiming he has retired from wrestling for good.
Punk left WWE under weird circumstances earlier this year. Many people thought he needed a break and would be back in a few months. Others felt he got too frustrated with the likes of Vince McMahon and Triple H and left because of them. Whatever the reason, nobody knows the entire truth and nobody, including Punk, is speaking up on the whole situation.
Slater claims (via RedEyeChicago.com) that Punk has indeed retired for good, but he’s also sick of being noticed in public too. Punk is tired of fans constantly “stalking him” whenever he goes out in public. He also hates the fact that he gets featured in news stories every time he attends either a hockey or baseball game.
If this is true, this is an interesting concept to grasp. Punk has always wanted to be in the main event of WrestleMania and be the top guy of the company. With that kind of success, of course people on the street will notice you. I’m not judging Punk as a person, but he should know by now that being famous means more people are going to start noticing you.
If Punk truly is angry about fans bugging him, the best thing he could do is go out in public and announce his retirement himself. If he stays quiet, the more curious people will be and the more they are likely to bug him and ask questions.
As I’ve said before, hopefully the truth comes out one day so everyone can move on from the whole ordeal. Until that day happens, people are unlikely to settle down.
