Tonight is the WWE NXT Takeover PPV event. The future looks bright for all of these stars, but who will shine brightest at Takeover? Here are my predictions and opinions on what will happen.
Adam Rose's Exotic Express party bus, and all those who join him on his "Party time, all the time" mantra, have been targets of Camacho recently. He's been attacking them on their way down to the ring, during celebrations, and even in the back. Camacho's attacks have sparked the serious side of Rose, and Camacho won't like where that leads.
Winner: Adam Rose
The Ascension are the longest-reigning tag champs in NXT history, while Kalisto and El Local are the new duo on the block. With Konnor and Viktor looking to rise and Kalisto/El Local wanting to start a Lucha movement, it only makes sense to have the Luchadores come out tonight victorious and allow the Ascension to rise up to the main roster and challenge for greatness.
Winners: Kalisto and El Local
NXT vacated their women's belt & have been looking for its successor. The issue here is that while these women put in the work to be great wrestlers, they're not in this match based on their own talent; the WWE just wanted to have legends like Bret Hart and Ric Flair show up on NXT TV. They're using Natalya to legitimize Charlotte as a real competitor, while trying to push yet another legacy kid to the sky.
Sami Zayn and Tyler Breeze have sparked a rivalry worth paying attention to. Not to take away from Adrian Neville, but this is the match I'm most excited to see. Zayn is the undisputed face of NXT, so his status is solid; Breeze on the other hand has great fan backing, but could greatly benefit from a title run. They tear down the house every time they're in the ring together, so glue your eyes to this match.
Winner: Tyler Breeze
The main event will see Adrian Neville and Tyson Kidd battle it out for the belt. Using Kidd to make NXT look better and to make Neville look like a champ ready for the big times was a great idea (even if I'm not a fan of Kidd). This match should have a lot of near-falls to worry NXT fans that Neville may lose; but don't worry, that's reserved for Breeze to carry out.
Winner: Adrian Neville
