WWE Money In the Bank 2014 takes place in less than three weeks, but yet fans are still unsure of what exactly the main event will be. Either Daniel Bryan will defend the world title against Kane in a stretcher match, or the MITB ladder match will be for the vacant title (if Bryan is stripped).
According to Wrestlezone, if the latter scenario ends up going down, a second MITB match could be added to the event. If Bryan is able to compete, obviously the MITB will stay as it traditionally is — for a No. 1 contender’s contract. But if he can’t go, the second MITB match would then become the traditional one, while the main event MITB match would be for the title.
It’s tough to decide what to root for if you’re a fan. Two MITB matches would likely be the most entertaining option, especially considering that Bryan is probably far from 100 percent. He and Kane could put on another solid match, but it’s hard to say that’s what fans want to see. The Kane feud has felt forced from moment one, and now it’s lost all steam following Bryan’s neck surgery.
On top of everything else, you’d really hate to see Bryan come back too soon. Him getting re-injured would be worst case scenario for WWE.
The safe bet is that some sort of decision will be made tonight on Raw, as WWE has to have something to promote for the main event in the final two weeks leading up to MITB 2014.
