WWE Rumors: Sting Promo Video Set To Start Shooting?
It’s not often that a week goes by without some sort of Sting-WWE gossip. The pro wrestling veteran has been rumored to be close to signing a deal for quite some time now, but up to this point, he’s remained off WWE TV except for a small bit where he paid tribute to his late friend, Warrior.
But now it appears there’s a clue in the Sting-WWE mystery.
According to a report on Wrestlezone, WWE has issued a casting notice for actors to play orchestra musicians in a Sting promo video. The shoot is set to take place on June 16th and WWE is also asking for someone to be Sting’s body double.
The question — what type of promo video?
This could just be a case of a DVD promo video getting shot. There’s supposedly been a Sting collection in the works for quite some time now, and this shoot could just be part of the promotion for that video project. If you’re a betting man, that’s the safest bet.
If you want to believe that Sting is making his WWE debut in the near future, then you could be disappointed if this shoot doesn’t lead to anything bigger than a video collection. It’s not out of the question, but you’d think if WWE was planning some Sting debut vignettes, that they’d be a little more discreet.
One way or another, it appears WWE is working with Sting on some level. It’s disheartening to think that he might just sign a legends deal and appear on home video, but it’s better than nothing.
