John Cena: Title No. 15 Should Be Last for Some Time
Wrestler John Cena is a 15-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion. He most recently won the championship at the Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View event last Sunday night. The most probable reason that comes to mind besides it being title No. 15 was that it was in his home state of Massachusetts. He had to beat out several other superstars to climb up the latter and unhook the belts from the dangling wire. He made the best of a tough situation.
Now, Cena is enjoying his most recent reign until he undoubtedly loses the title at a PPV event. This is what the business is all about — give the title to the hardest-working wrestler every once in a while to make him and his fans happy. However, now that he is already 37 and younger superstars are breathing down his neck for the gold, his time is surely coming to an end atop the company.
Cena gets booed by fans above the age of 13 due to the reason that he has been around for a long time and his moves are no longer up to date. He is everyone’s favorite good guy as he stands for hustle, loyalty and respect. However, everyone enjoys watching the bad guy make things happen or switch from bad to good roles. Since Cena has been the same for over 10 years, the time to pass over the torch is here.
Roman Reigns was the most powerful member of the Shield. Being that he is The Rock‘s cousin as well, he is finally getting the attention he deserves after switching to a face role. He has the strength, technique, agility, adversity and energy to defeat multiple guys at a time. Therefore, he should be the next champion, thus relieving Cena of the biggest responsibility and honor in the WWE.
