Current UFC fighters are not allowed to appear in the WWE, which puts an end to rumors of Ronda Rousey‘s potential appearance at SummerSlam.
Rousey is a very huge WWE fan and often watches it whenever she gets the chance to. There was even a time she called CM Punk “sexy” when writing on Twitter about him. The WWE was interested in bringing her in for a special appearance. I’m sure Rousey herself would have loved to make an appearance. She also wanted to bring her friends too, but the WWE was only wanting her to appear on TV.
However, UFC President Dana White has ended all talks of this happening. He doesn’t want current UFC fighters to appear publicly on WWE television as he fears the media would take it the wrong way. He is scared that the media will be dumb and think the UFC is scripted entertainment like the WWE is. He doesn’t want to take that chance. White has already turned down the chance for Brock Lesnar and even himself to wrestle at WrestleMania 27.
Rousey could become a WWE wrestler if she chooses to retire from MMA in the future. White had no problems of Lesnar going back to the WWE when he retired from the sport. Even Rashad Evans wants to join the WWE when his MMA career is over.
As of right now though, there will be no current UFC fighters in the WWE anytime soon. This is a shame as it would have been funny if Rousey was booked in a segment to fight the weak Total Divas cast. I would even pay money to see her rough up The Miz.
