Daniel Bryan Stops Burglar At His Home
Daniel Bryan is not on the road working wrestling dates for WWE right now due to injury. As it turns out, not being on the road saved some of Bryan’s things.
The former WWE champion and his wife, Brie Bella, came home on Thursday night to two burglars inside their Arizona home. The two men dropped their loot and made a run for it, but Bryan was able to catch one of them on foot (we can only hope with his knee-to-the-face finishing move) and subdue him until police arrived.
22-year-old Cesar Sosa was taken into custody shortly thereafter, while the other man is still at large.
Bryan was at Comic-Con in San Diego on Thursday, so you have to believe this was as he came home from that appearance. You also have to believe that the former champ is feeling okay, if was able to run down and detain a burglar.
Even though Bryan isn’t the biggest guy and he makes his living off of fake wrestling, he’s not someone you want to mess with. Bryan has trained under iconic martial arts expert Gene LeBell, which means that he knows many ways to take down and hurt a human being.
As far as Bryan’s WWE status is concerned, it’s currently up in the air. There are rumors floating around about him needing a second surgery (possibly related to his current shoulder/neck injury).
Bryan isn’t figured into any of WWE’s current plans for SummerSlam, and the safe bet is that he’ll be out of action until the fall.
