Last week, NXT offered one of its strongest shows to date. The episode included a pair of exciting tag team contests, a solid divas match, and an epic clash between Adrian Neville and Sami Zayn for the NXT Championship. In the wake of that action, here's a look at whose stock changed in NXT.

One week after making his debut by coming to the aid of friend Hideo Itami, Balor shined in his first in-ring appearance. Teaming with Itami, Balor defeated the tandem of WWE veterans Tyson Kidd and Justin Gabriel. Unlike Itami, who seemingly struggled to transition to the NXT style of wrestling, Balor executed nearly every move to perfection, displaying both his high-flying ability and his stiff kicks and stomps.

After a lengthy absence from NXT programming, the diminutive diva returned for a bout against No. 1 contender Sasha Banks. Bliss came up on the losing end, but she turned in a gutsy performance after her nose was busted up early in the contest. Her perseverance allowed her and Banks to put on an impressive match which had the crowd in a frenzy by its conclusion.

3. Tyson Kidd - Down

It appears as though Kidd may finally be getting his chance to make a mark on the WWE roster, but his stock in NXT continues to slide. Kidd will not receive another title shot against Adrian Neville, and his tag team setback this past week indicates that he may be used to put over newer stars.

2. Lucha Dragons - Up

The NXT Tag Team Champions again shined this past week as they knocked off Buddy Murphy and Wesley Blake. After the Ascension dominated the tag division with squash matches for almost a year, the Lucha Dragons have infused a fast-paced, high-flying style that has made their recent matches thrilling. Kalisto looked incredible, using never-before seen aerial attacks in the victory.

The NXT Champion retained his title against Sami Zayn in one of the top NXT matches of 2014. Although Neville won by dubious circumstances (an inside cradle after Zayn stopped because of Neville’s knee injury), he managed to prevail in perhaps his toughest challenge to date. Moreover, he’s slowly becoming more of a villain, and NXT fans are reacting accordingly.
