Will You See Dolph Ziggler vs. Daniel Bryan At WrestleMania?

After his upsetting early exit from the Royal Rumble on Sunday night, Daniel Bryan’s dreams of headlining WrestleMania two years in a row have been crushed, and his plans to win back the WWE World Heavyweight Championship have been, at least for now, pushed off to the wayside.

He definitely showed that he was upset on the special Snowday RAW Snowday episode the night after the pay-per-view, and he may be setting himself up to prove a point. Another man who was unable to thrill the fans with a Rumble victory was Dolph Ziggler, who flew into the fist of Big Show and was unceremoniously dropped out of the ring by Show and Kane.

After Bryan’s interview on RAW, Dolph Ziggler sent out a Tweet to his fellow fan favourite:

Bryan, keeping it short and simple, responded with a retweet and I’m in!”, which could be sowing the seeds for a friendly battle one-on-one at WrestleMania 31, setting themselves up to prove to everybody what they and so many fans already know: these two men shouldn’t have to steal the show, because they are the show.

Could it be true? What else do the two of them have going? Off the top of my head, I can’t think of much for them to do at ‘Mania. Facing off against each other is one option. They could team up to take on Big Show and Kane, and if anybody from WWE creative sees this, please don’t do Ziggler and Bryan vs. Big Show and Kane.

I’d love to see Bryan vs. Cesaro in a WWE ring. They did some good stuff together in Ring of Honor. Ziggler vs. Seth Rollins is an option as well, I believe that to be the rivalry of the future. Putting them in a semi-main event spot at the biggest show of the year would definitely be a spectacular follow-up to their outing at the end of the Survivor Series pay-per-view.

That would end up leaving Bryan out in the cold, though, unless they decide to give all fans a treat and and put together that match against Shawn Michaels that was almost teased all the way back at Hell in a Cell 2013.

Truly, though, it feels like there may be nothing realistically good for these two men to do come March 29 with the exception of standing across the ring from each other absolutely tearing the house down. If I wasn’t already paying it every month, I’d sure pay $9.99 for that.
