5 Guys Who Should Have Teamed With Undertaker and Kane

We’ve reached the weekend of the 2015 Survivor Series, the 25th anniversary of the Undertaker. It was anticipated that he and Kane would be getting a pair of tag team partners to even the score against the Wyatt Family. Turns out that instead of giving any current or future stars a little rub by adding them to the marquee match, WWE felt it would be best to run a regular tag team match, since match that will see two geriatrics beat two young guys with two guys in their corner is exactly what we need! My excitement level is zero for this match. Using any two of the following wrestlers would make for a far better and more interesting event.

5. Solomon Crowe

Crowe hasn’t been given much of a shine thus far in NXT. He debuted on TV earlier this year and it looked like he was going to beat up some dweebs and then move on to something bigger and better. That sadly didn’t happen. He has been stuck in limbo, as they can’t seem to figure out exactly what to do with him. He’s got the look, he’s got the in-ring and on-mic talent and he would fit in very well as a Fit Finlay type bruiser on the main roster. Why not start him out with something big and let people care about him? He’d also be a great fit to be an ally or foe of the Wyatt Family moving forward.

4. Ryback

He didn’t make it far in the WWE Title tournament and has had issues with Bray Wyatt in the past. As far as I’m concerned, there’s unfinished business between them, and the match they had at Payback this year was higher quality than a lot of people expected. Ryback vs. Luke Harper could also be a really good match and if they want to throw the Big Guy another bone, have him be the first guy to give Braun Strowman a good thrashing and give him a one-on-one win over him in the near future.

3. Samoa Joe

He just turned heel in NXT because he wants his good pal Finn Balor’s NXT Championship, but that doesn’t mean he can’t answer the call of Kane and The Undertaker to be a part of their team at Survivor Series. Joe is a big, mean man and his demeanor would fit in well with what the Brothers of Destruction bring to the table. His whole deal is that he’s completely unflappable. The crowd would be excited to see Joe as well, and having him stand there while ‘Taker and Kane made their entrance(s) would keep the crowd abuzz.

2. Dean Ambrose

My original idea for the Undertaker vs. Wyatt match involved Undertaker teaming with the entire Shield to take on the Wyatt Family. If it wasn’t for Randy Orton’s injury, I’d have expected to see Ambrose and Orton teaming with Kane and Undertaker in an 8-man elimination tag.

1. Finn Balor

I think pretty much everybody has been calling to have this guy just come up to the main roster already, and many, myself included, felt that this would be as good a time as any. His Demon mode version of himself is dark and would be a perfect fit for the concept WWE is running with for the 25 Years of Undertaker deal. Plus, being the NXT Champion and having been handpicked by Undertaker would be a tremendous thing to give him as he makes his way up to WWE television.
