It has been announced that WWE will be airing the next live WWE Network special event on March 12, 2016. Titled “March To WrestleMania” it will be a show that promises to be a tool to help build the stories that will come to a head just a few weeks later in Dallas at WrestleMania 32.

It’s too early to say what will be featured, but it would be great to see an NXT spotlight and an important women’s match. With the event being so close to WrestleMania, there probably will be an appearance by Brock Lesnar but no match. There will be a contract signing, perhaps.

Come to think of it, if they do go with Lesnar vs. Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania, this would be a perfect place for Lesnar to go up against one of the members of the Wyatt Family for one more push toward Bray trying to weaken the Beast.

Chances are there will be a couple of tag team matches that interweave some angles. If the WrestleMania main event does turn out to be John Cena vs. Roman Reigns there will probably be a tag match with them on the same team. If not, we’ll see Reigns and a partner of his choice against Triple H and Sheamus.

The show will be the 2000s version of Saturday Night’s Main Event meets the MSG special from earlier this fall. Expect no huge matches, but a lineup of matches and promos to get the WWE Universe in gear for April 3rd.

WWE may not have much sense when it comes to week-to-week booking, but they have figured out how to use the WWE Network to their advantage and they understand its massive potential.
