5 Wrestlers Who Won't Be With WWE By The End Of 2016

We’ve reached the annual spring cleaning part of the year, in which WWE often takes stock of their current roster and eliminates the excess fat. 2015 was a pretty uneventful year, thankfully, but there’s a possibility that this year may be different. Former NXT commentator and backstage correspondent Rich Brennan was very quietly released recently as was backstage interviewer and WWE.com presence Kyle Edwards and more cuts might be on the way.

5. Konnor of The Ascension

It's possible that his partner may end up gone as well, but Viktor will probably survive. WWE has already proven that they don't care about The Ascension as a team, and with two strikes against him with the Wellness Policy, Konnor is on shaky ground.

4. Alex Riley

It simply isn't going well. The “rage” thing hasn't done much for him and he feels like damaged goods. Riley has so much potential but hasn't lived up to it on a number of occasions. Cut him loose and let him try to ply his trade elsewhere.

3. Jack Swagger

I still think the League Of Nations would have fared better if they added an American to the group. Sadly, that didn't happen. Swagger only shows up on Main Event and Superstars, and he has been treading water for a long time.

2. Mojo Rawley

There is just no substance to this guy. He's a good athlete but not a good wrestler. He has made very little improvement over the last couple of years, and it's just not worth keeping him around. It's a shame but it's true.

1. Zack Ryder

I think this is finally the year. They gave him his WrestleMania moment when he won the IC Title. He lost it the next night and was out of the title picture in less than three weeks’ time. That felt like his last hurrah, for real this time.
