According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Kolb is unlikely to play on Sunday against the St. Louis Rams due to a turf toe injury. Kolb sat out of practice again on Thursday and all signs point to backup quarterback John Skelton getting the start.
Kolb’s inexperience has shown over the first seven games of the 2011 season as he’s completed just 56.8 percent of his passes along with eight touchdowns and eight interceptions. Sure, Arizona doesn’t have the best receiving corps beyond Larry Fitzgerald, but this is still no excuse for a player that received $21 million in guaranteed money when he signed a new deal before the start of the season.
