Report: Tiki Barber’s Wedding Plans May Be Put On Hold Considering His Previous Divorce Isn’t Even Official Yet
(Jerry Lai/US PRESSWIRE)

As if his failed attempt at an NFL comeback wasn’t already rough enough, it looks like former New York Giants running back Tiki Barber is dealing with another issue off the field that could prevent him from getting married this spring.

According to Ben Maller Yahoo! Sports, Barber hasn’t officially divorced his previous wife Ginny as the two have struggled to reach an agreement–which means his originally planned wedding in the spring could be put on hold for the time being. As everyone knows, Barber took quite the heat back in 2010 when he left Ginny–who was pregnant at the time–for Traci Lynn Johnson–a former intern for NBC and the two were planning on getting married this spring.

From Maller’s article:

The New York Post reports Traci Lynn Johnson, the former NBC intern, and Barber got engaged in August, with wedding bells expected in the well-heeled Hamptons in May of 2012. Much like Tiki’s NFL comeback, though, the wedding has run into an obstacle. His divorce is far from complete (the two sides can’t seem to reach a settlement), which has put the wedding on hold. It’s just another way that it’s been a tough year for the former Giant to get what he wants.

Obviously, Barber’s been in a bit of a rough patch over the last few months after failing to receive an offer from any team when he attempted a comeback following four years of retirement. If Barber and his former wife have taken this long to make their divorce official, don’t be surprised if the former running back has to wait longer than spring before he receives the opportunity to get married again.
