Report: Raiders RB Darren McFadden Expected to Miss at Least Two More Games
(Brett Davis/US PRESSWIRE)

There are plenty of reasons to be impressed with the Oakland Raiders this season–especially when you consider that they’re currently in first place despite playing their last three games without star running back Darren McFadden. The former first-round pick suffered a foot injury against the Kansas City Chiefs back on October 23 and the Raiders expected him to be back by now, but it looks like they’ll have to wait at least a few more games before that happens.

According to NFL Network Insider Jason La Canfora, McFadden is expected to miss at least two more games while recovering from the injury. From what it sounds like, McFadden’s best chance of returning will be Week 14 against the Green Bay Packers–which will obviously be a big game.

Backup running back Michael Bush has done a phenomenal job filling in over the last four games (461 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns), but there’s no question the Raiders’ offense lives up to its true potential with McFadden in the lineup. Oakland is in good shape heading into Week 12 with a one-game lead in the AFC West, but McFadden in the lineup for the final few weeks of the regular season will certainly boost their odds at claiming their first division title since 2002.
