Broncos QB Tim Tebow Currently Fourth in Fan Voting For AFC Quarterbacks in 2012 Pro Bowl
(Christopher Hanewinckel/US PRESSWIRE)

In case you’ve been living under a rock for the last six or seven weeks, Tim Tebow has taken the NFL world by storm by helping the Denver Broncos win five of their last six games to keep up with the Oakland Raiders in the hunt for the AFC West title. While his numbers may be far from impressive when it comes to being an elite quarterback, Tebow’s performances on the field over these last few weeks have made him a fan favorite and the former first-round pick could end up playing in his first career Pro Bowl come February.

Courtesy of ProFootballTalk.com’s Mike Florio, Tebow is currently in fourth place among AFC quarterbacks when it comes to fan voting for the 2012 Pro Bowl–trailing Tom Brady, Ben Roethlisberger, and Ryan Fitzpatrick. With three weeks remaining in the vote process, there’s a good chance Tebow could move ahead of Fitzpatrick if the Broncos continue to stay hot, but it should also be noted that this is only the rankings for the fans votes as players and coaches still have to submit their nominations as well.

It’s crazy to think Tebow ranks this high in the voting process considering last week’s game against the San Diego Chargers was the first time he completed at least 50 percent of his passes in a game. Still, Tebow has certainly played a big role in helping Denver turn things around after a 1-4 start and when looking at the rest of the competition, it’s safe to say Tebow is playing better than most quarterbacks in the AFC–so it shouldn’t really be a surprise at all.
