Pic: Pawn Shop Pokes Fun at Patriots’ Wes Welker
The biggest scapegoat to get free publicity just happens to be the guy that dropped a crucial pass late in Super Bowl 46.
Unfortunately for Patriots receiver Wes Welker that’s him and an online pawn shop, Pawngo, has taken advantage of his mishap to gain some free publicity from the likes of, well, me.
The online store dropped about 900 pounds of Butterfingers candy bars in Boston’s Copley Square including a back handed compliment to Welker. Here’s the photo:

A lot of fans around the country, especially in Boston, have blamed Welker for dropping the ball late in the fourth quarter that would have likely sealed the game or at least taken another few minutes off the clock. Granted, the ball could have been thrown a little better but it did hit Welker in the hands and it’s almost a lock that he catches those.
It just wasn’t meant to be for Welker and the rest of the Patriots as the Giants went on to score a touchdown with under a minute left once again to win Super Bowl 46.
