Report: Drew Brees Will Not Sign Contract

Rant Sports recently reported that New Orleans Saints’quarterback, Drew Brees, was not happy about the franchise tag that the Saints were placing upon him, stating that he would likely onely receive a bit over $14 million based on the new franchise tag formula in the CBA.

Today, Jeff Duncan of the New Orleans Times-Picayune is claiming that the future Hall of Fame quarterback will not sign the new contract now that the tag has been added.

As a result, Brees will not take part in the Saints’ pre-season workouts, which are set to begin next month.

Hold on. Things are about to get interesting down in New Orleans.
