San Antonio’s Best All Time Players
There have been many great Spurs throughout the history of this franchise, and choosing a top 5 is tough. Most people will come up with different players in their top five, but here's my crack at it.
First, the top 2 honorable mention:
Manu Ginobili
Manu might just be the best steal in the NBA draft, being selected second to last in the 1999 NBA draft. He misses the top five, because being a team player (unlike many players today) he accepted a new role in coming off the bench.
Avery Johnson
Johnson is arguably the best point guard in franchise history. He currently is the all-time franchise leader in assists, was a member of the 1999 championship team, and has his #6 jersey retired by the team.

Great job Paul! Enjoyed it. Just curious on where you’d rank James Silas.
It’s tough. Maybe he slides in at #6 and I was wrong with Manu there. Manu’s stats would be better, but he graciously accepted a new role in coming off the bench. I’d have Silas somewhere between 5-7, but no lower than 7.
