San Diego Chargers Fans Can Vote for Philip Rivers to Appear on Madden 2012 Cover
This year, EA Sports has decided to pick the cover for Madden 2012 in a way it’s never been done before by allowing football fans the chance to vote for which player they want to see. One candidate for this year’s cover–San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers.
ESPN’s SportsNation is hosting a 32-player tournament consisting of five rounds in which fans can vote for their favorite players to appear on the Madden cover next season. One player is represented from each team in the tournament and Rivers was selected to represent the Chargers.
The fact that Rivers is arguably one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL makes it no surprise that he’s a candidate to appear on this year’s cover. He enters the Madden 2012 Cover Vote as a No. 1 seed and will face Oakland Raiders running back Darren McFadden in the first round.
Chargers fans have until March 27 to help Rivers advance to the second round and can vote for him by checking out the bracket here.
