Sharper Signs with the Saints and The 49ers still Lack Winners

If you have been following Ninerscentral you probably know that I wanted the 49ers to sign Darren Sharper. Today that dream is dead.

Darren Sharper resigned with the saints for another year.

I guess its up to Takeo and P-Will to be the leaders of the defense. I think they are up for the task, at least for the regular season. What bugs me is that if we are planning on being playoff team where do we get leadership during the post season. Our leaders on both sides of the ball have no playoff experience. The 49ers filled the majority of the holes they had this off-season, but we didn’t bring in any proven winners. Lets hope that Coach Singletary is all the leadership the need.
