ESPN Analyst and former 49er quarterback Steve Young believes the team should look in to signing Matt Hasselbeck to lead their team this season.

The hall of famer believes it could be a big piece and key for a successful season. Obviously he doesn’t have faith in Alex Smith.

Adam Schefter remarked “Steve Young is pointing to 49ers as potential landing spot for Matthew Hasselbeck. ‘I think he is going to San Francisco,’ Young said on ESPN. That would certainly be a bold move for the 49ers, and it could be a huge detractor to a successful season for Seattle in 2011.”
