As the Seahawks head down to the Bay Area take on the San Francisco 49ers they could be without two key starters on offense. Wide receiver Sydney Rice and left guard Robert Gallery are listed as doubtful heading into Sunday. Head coach Pete Carroll didn’t close the door on the possibility of either playing but given neither practiced this week it’s not likely they will play.

Defensive end Chris Clemons will be active coming off an ankle injury and middle linebacker David Hawthorne will play after recovering from a knee injury.

Carroll also mentioned that Rice’s shoulder injury is not to the extent of John Carlson’s, who was placed on injured reserve after having surgery to repair a torn labrum. “I don’t think so,” Carroll said. “He seems to be coming along a lot faster. He’s feeling better, and he’s out running around and catching balls and stuff.”
