Manchester City won a match against Chelsea FC 2-0 on Sunday. They now have a seven point gap between them and Chelsea for second place. However, while they have a big gap keeping them in second, they are 12 points back from first place Manchester United.

After today’s match, manager Roberto Mancini thinks that his team can come back and win the English Premiere League Title from United.

“First of all, we can’t thing that it’s finished with 11 games to go. We can’t think this … It’s not my mentality. We don’t want it. This isn’t in the players’ mentality, and we need to play like today.”

Sorry Mancini this isn’t 2012. It is 2013.

United has just been playing very well this year. Even with Robin Van Persie’s injury after hitting a television camera, they should still find success on the field. I don’t see Van Persie out very long and don’t see United having a historic collapse

RVP and Wayne Rooney have been a dominant duo in the EPL this year. Even when they are down, United finds a way to tie if not win the match.

Unless United goes on a serious losing or tying streak, City will have to step up its game to a higher level.

I highly doubt City will be able to win the league. United has just dominated so far this season and has a lot of breathing room. I like you confidence and drive Mancini, but at this point it is too little too late for you and the rest of the EPL to catch United.
