Despite winning in dramatic fashion against Sunderland, Tottenham will miss out on a top four spot after Arsenal were successful against Newcastle.

Gareth Bale smashed in another extraordinary goal in the dying moments at White Hart Lane, but it was in vain as Arsenal held on to once against finish above Tottenham.

Could it be Bale’s last moment in a Tottenham shirt? The fans will hope not, but the Champions League deserves to see him play and even the most diehard Spurs fan would accept that.

Although the season is ultimately a failure as Tottenham failed to achieve their objective, there’s been promising signs throughout the year, and there’s no way Andre Villas-Boas will not be the manager next season.

Gareth Bale is bound to be the talk of the summer now after their failure to deliver Champions League football, and you will see rumors every day about his departure, believe me.

The truth is, it’s been a good season for Tottenham. AVB has instilled a mental toughness and winning attitude to his new-look Spurs, and there’s going to be plenty of additions along the way.

I can’t see Bale signing for another Premier League side next season, but there is a possibility he could be playing at Real Madrid. For the incoming manager, that will be the primary objective.

If Bale ends all that by signing a new contract, Tottenham must be grateful and sign a host of top class talent to ensure they finish in the top four next season.

It’s going to be an interesting summer with transfers so stay alert.
