Mario Balotelli Feeling At Home In Milan
Former Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli has fit right in at AC Milan after joining them in January. In fact, in only 13 appearances, he has netted a total of 12 goals. He never even came close to that at City.
In Manchester, he scored 20 goals in 54 appearances. The Premier League is tougher than the Serie A, but the scoring difference is almost unacceptable. There are reasons that could have caused this differential:
Balo may have not been trusted as much at City, which disallowed him to test the keepers often. When he did get the chances, he missed the frame or mistimed his shot.
In addition to not scoring as much as he should have, he somehow found himself in hot water. Whether it was arguing with the coach or starting a fire in his house, he faced the law almost religiously. Finally, his time was ended in England, and he returned to Italy.
Before City, he played for Inter Milan. Since he is now playing for their arch-rivals, the fans of Inter truly dislike him. In fact, during a derby between AC and Inter, the Inter fans racially abused him by throwing bananas in his direction. Even though they see him as a traitor, that is nothing short of disgraceful behavior.
Regardless, he is loving life back in Milan and scoring goal after goal for his new club. Now that he is going to have an entire season to prove himself for the club, his scoring is expected to continue soaring. He has what it takes, now, we can only wait and see if he can impress.
