Playing for Benfica since 2007, Paraguayan international striker Oscar Cardozo has netted 106 goals in 160 appearances. He is tall, strong, experienced and has an uncanny ability to score goals from anywhere inside the final third.

After a falling out with his coach in Lisbon, Jorge Jesus, he is rumored to be exiting the club some time soon this summer. Well, clubs have certainly taken notice.

The team that is the most interested is the one he scored against in this past season’s Europa League semi-finals, Fenerbahce. They have been attempting to lure him to Istanbul for quite some time now, which proves to the Paraguayan that he is more than welcome to Turkey.

However, there is one issue: the Turkish side has been banned from all European competitions for the next two seasons due to match-fixing allegations. Playing in the Turkish Super League for the championship as well as the domestic cup may not be good enough for a player who has interest from England as well.

Newly promoted Cardiff City are looking to bring Cardozo to Wales to help them stay in the Premier League. He would immediately become their star striker, and the ball would be sent his way a lot. He could score goals easily for the club. Although, realistically, they would not be playing in Europe any time soon since a top-seven finish does not seem likely at all.

Another club that wants to sign him in England is none other than money bags Manchester City. If he were to join this club, he would start most games, but in no way whatsoever would be the star player or striker for that matter. There is simply too much talent. If he could forget about that and just enjoy playing for a championship contender as well as Champions League soccer, he would be a good fit.

Wherever he decides to go, he will score goals. He has played against teams from many European nations for both club and country. Therefore, the money spent on him will be well worth it.
