With Real Madrid looking likely to ship Gonzalo Higuain, a new striker is required at the Bernabeu. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is one of the most talented yet frustrating strikers of his generation. He is consistently hyped by players and fans, but he often fails to play to his optimum against the best teams.

At 31 years old, it could be the Swede’s last chance to play for one of the world’s biggest clubs, and he’s capable of being the focal point of any team. He’s so powerful and athletic for his size. As the statistics show, his goal-scoring record appears to be improving. All the erratic and enigmatic performances seem behind him, so maybe he should seek a move to a more competitive league.

Real Madrid need another star man to not only launch an assault on La Liga but on Europe. Cristiano Ronaldo stands above the rest of his team a little in terms of quality, and with Gareth Bale looking likely to stay with Tottenham, they can’t contend with Barcelona’s talent without signing new players.

One area where Paris Saint-Germain doesn’t lack, however, is money. They have the ability to pay as much money as anyone for players, so Ibrahimovic would have to actively seek a transfer.

It would be exciting to see him play for such a creative team like Real Madrid. He’d rack up the goals as he’s such a threat from every area. Ibrahimovic would probably want the transfer if he was made aware of interest from Real Madrid. This isn’t a heavy rumor, but it has been mooted.
