The Turkish Super League commences the 2013-2014 season today in Antalya, as Antalyaspor will host league newcomers Erciyesspor.

None of these two sides are stacked with nearly as much talent as the top clubs in the league, but there is a very well-known, familiar face starting up top for the home team – Milan Baros.

After roughly four years in Istanbul with Galatasaray, Baros left this past January to rejoin the club, where his illustrious career began: Banik Ostrava of the Czech Republic.

It took only five to six months for another team form the TSL to show interest in the striker, and without thinking twice, he decided to return to the nation, where he called home for over four years. Antalya is a very beautiful city, and the team has been growing every single year with decent talent that is still learning how to win the big games.

With Baros here to help in any way he can, mainly scoring goals, the team will attract interest; perhaps in the near future, other big names may decide to join forces with Baros.

With teams like Galatasaray, Fenerbahce, Besiktas, Trabzonspor and Bursaspor, a top five finish is not very likely by any means for Antalyaspor. However, when they face these teams, we can expect them to play a very intelligent and well played match, to give these opponents a very tough encounter.

Early season predicitions are as follows:

League champion: Galatasaray

Runner-up: Fenerbahce

3rd place: Besiktas

4th place: Trabzon

5th place: Kasimpasa (The team has it all to prove with Ryan Babel up top with Kalu Uche.)

6th place: Bursa

These are according to the past two seasons, and the strengths that each team possesses in this league against one another. They could be wrong, and if they are, we are all in for a very big surprise.
