This Saturday will bring us the first meeting between Villarreal and Real Madrid for the first time in two seasons. The Madrigal will be packed with ecstatic fans as one of Spain’s top two sides will be visiting the Yellow Submarines for one of two league matches to be played this season.

Newcomer Giovanni Dos Santos will look to continue scoring for his new club against one of the toughest defenses in the league. The field is not as wide as others, which maybe cause problems for Real, and this gives the home side a significant advantage. They play a quick-paced game with a decent attack, but they do have flaws in their defense, which is why they dropped to the Segunda Liga last year.

Real will finally get to debut the most expensive signing ever in Gareth Bale during the game. He is not expected to play the entire game and may even come off the bench during the second half. Regardless, if and when he plays, it will be interesting to see if he gets to play the same game he did at Tottenham — receiving the ball a lot from his teammates and setting himself and teammates up to score some decent goals.

Madrid will also be relying on Cristiano Ronaldo and newcomer Isco to control the tempo of the game and to orchestrate a plethora of attacks. If they are on their game, they can score three goals and the defense should allow no more than one.

This will be one of the games to watch in Spain this weekend. Look out for Bale, Ronaldo and Dos Santos representing their clubs.
