The Turkish Super League will bring us two tough games this weekend, with one of them being Bursaspor–Besiktas, from the Bursa Ataturk stadium.
The home side sit in 10th with four points from a possible nine. Their most impressive result was a 1-1 home draw against defending champions Galatasaray, with their equalizer coming late on in the match. They are capable of upsetting big teams at home, but they will be facing a team that is undefeated and does not look like they will be slowing down at any time soon.
Besiktas will look to debut their newest acquisition, Kerim Frei, who is still only aged at 19 and is one of the best in Turkey as a left winger. He recently scored a remarkable goal for the U-21 Turkish national side against Sweden — he evaded four to five players then sweetly rocketed a shot off the cross bar into the back of the net. Besiktas should be extremely excited by his arrival.
Besides Hugo Almeida and Mustafa Pektemek, BJK can allow Eneramo and Omer Sismanoglu, who can both score goals as lone strikers. They are both extremely hungry and were some of the best from their former clubs in Sivasspor and Antalyaspor, respectively. These are all four strikers who can win games and score goals when called upon.
The home side may have trouble slowing down the visiting attack, but as long as they score one or two of their own and stay focused on defense, they can manage a draw or even a victory with players like Pablo Pinto, Tuncay Sanli and Fernando Belluschi and new signing Kazim Richards. Bursa is experienced and has a decently talented side with a remarkable group of fans.
This will be one of two great games this weekend.
