After a two week hiatus due to the international break, the Turkish Super League returns tomorrow. The game that will be played is between Galatasaray and Antalyaspor.
Both teams will definitely want to win this game, but it may not be too easy by any means, and here is why:
Galatasaray will be without their influential captain Selcuk Inan, due to a rough foot injury he suffered during international duty with Turkey. He is responsible for the creativity in the midfield, the assists, free-kicks and some other brilliant goals.
Newest transfer, 18-year-oldBruma, is expected to make his debut down the wing and will bring a fast-paced tempo, which is expected to terrorize the defense. He can score and assist whenever he has to and this is something his teammates will require of him, especially in Inan’s absence.
Yekta Kurtulus or Emre Colak may get the chance to start in Inan’s position, unless Wesley Sneijder plays in the central attacking-midfield position in a 4-2-3-1 line-up. At worst, they can start next to Felipe Melo right behind the three mids, or even come off the bench for a late push.
Didier Drogba and Burak Yilmaz will have all of the pressure on them to grab all three points after a slightly slow start, as they only earned five points from a possible nine. They have to be at their very best to win this game as defending champions.
Coach Fatih Terim has to shift his focus right back to the club level and inspire his troops to get back to their dominant form in the league, especially days before their Champions League opener at home against Real Madrid.
