Christian Eriksen Will Be Vital For Tottenham
Christian Eriksen‘s input into Tottenham‘s fabulous performance against Norwich City was very impressive, and it’s already becoming clear that he is vital for the team’s creativity.
Due to the Dane being in his last year of his contract at Ajax, Tottenham were able to snap him up for a bargain price of £11 million, a small fee compared to some of the club’s other signings.
He didn’t miss a beat in his debut. Picking up the ball in advanced areas, he opened up the Canaries on multiple occasions with his accurate passing, slick movement and unshakable patience.
Eriksen was heavily involved in both goals in the 2-0 win. Tottenham have made a sound start to the season, with the one clot on the record when they lost 1-0 to Arsenal at the Emirates.
Along with Tottenham and Arsenal, Liverpool looked to have added a new dimension to the situation, and it promises to be a hard battle for a top four spot.
Arsenal’s huge signing of Mesut Ozil looks to be a massive signing for the club, and it demonstrates that under-fire manager Arsene Wenger has been trying to add ‘star quality’ all along.
In many ways, the elite of the Premier League is as dense as it’s been in a long time, with the top six looking inseparable. Of course, most expect Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea to pull away from the rest.
But this season could be one of the closest at the top in recent memory with the ‘top six’ all looking strong.
