Radamel Falcao: Real Madrid or Chelsea?
Radamel Falcao is the Colombian international striker that was the best at FC Porto, Atletico Madrid and now at AS Monaco. He knows how to score goals and get along with his teammates at the club level as well as for his home country. However, due to some tax issues, he may be leaving his current club, Monaco, only after half of a season.
One of the parties interested in his signature is Spanish giant and capital side Real Madrid. Los Galacticos have been relying on the misfiring Karim Benzema, who may be sold come January to another club. Regardless, even though this is just a rumor, it would be nice to see Falcao join the white side of Madrid, even though he said that he would never play for Real since he once played for Atletico. Then again, that is just a rumor and we all know that money is what matters to most players in this business.
Another team that he has been rumored to be joining sooner rather than later is none other than Chelsea of the Premier League. There, he would automatically start in place of Samuel Eto’o, Demba Ba and Fernando Torres as neither striker can get anything going. Eto’o did net his first league goal for the Blues and notch an assist but this is just one game. We will have to wait and see if he can keep on providing the goods.
Either team would be an easy fit for Falcao as both can play in a one striker system in which he would instantly be able to adapt. We should remember that his issues at Monaco may be resolved way before the transfer window is open, especially since he is happily stating every game and celebrating heartily whenever he scores.
