The Citizens will have a tough challenge on Wednesday as they will travel to Russia to take on CSKA Moscow in a thrilling Champions League encounter that will start Wednesday’s action in Europe’s biggest soccer tournament. Both teams have three points in two matches as they have the exact same results: both were able to defeat Czech side Viktoria Plzen, but suffered a loss against current champions Bayern Munich.

The Russian outfit are known for their strong team effort and a very well balanced scheme where their midfield is their most outstanding zone; usually, CSKA Moscow lives and dies according to the way their playmakers perform. Two players to keep an eye on are Russian international Alan Dzagoev and Japanese star Keisuke Honda, as they are the ones in charge of creating the attacking options of the team.

Manchester City have much more depth than their rival as they have one of the better teams all across Europe. Their strength is their forward line, where Sergio Aguero is the one element that gathers all the attention. The Argentinean international is a world-class striker that has a knack for playing better in pressure situations, so he’s slated to lead their team’s chances in a very hostile environment.

Prediction: CSKA Moscow 1-2 Manchester City

The English side will struggle to start the match, but their superior individual quality will be enough for them to come out on top. CSKA won’t be able to create much offensively, and they will end up losing a game that could prove to be key in their quest for the second place of the zone.
