Arsenal have started the season on a blistering form that has them at the top of the standings, and they continued their awesome start to the Premier League campaign as they cruised against Crystal Palace.

The Gunners dominated the match from start to finish as their usual passing style gave them early benefits. Arsene Wenger’s men controlled the pace of the match, with Mikel Arteta being a very effective element in the middle of the pitch. They had plenty of chances to find the back of the net in the first half, but they were unable to score before halftime.

Things changed drastically in the second half as Arteta scored only two minutes into the second half after a penalty shot, but the Spaniard had to leave the game later as he was sent off. Arsenal continued their dominance, and Crystal Palace were unable to stop them as they were massively outplayed.

The Gunners had more chances to net a second goal, but they were only able to get it near the end of the match thanks to Olivier Giroud. The towering striker had lots of chances to score before, but his efforts paid off in the end as he was able to continue his form.

Giroud also scored in the Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday, so he’s been on a tear, and Arsenal fans are thrilled to finally a striker that can actually put the ball in the net on a consistent basis.

Arsenal continue leading the Premier League as they now have 22 points in nine matches. They have been in excellent form since the start of the season and if they can continue playing like this, there’s little doubt that they will be title contenders until the end of the season.
